مما لا شك فيه أن الخلق الحسن بركة على صاحبه وعلى مجتمعه، وخير ونماء، ورفعة عند الله وسناء، ومحبة في قلوب الخلق وطمأنينة وانشراح في الصدر، وتيسير في الأمور، وذكر حسن في الدنيا، وحسن عاقبة في الأخرى.
Good conduct is a blessing for a person and their community. It is indicative of progress and a high position in the sight of Allaah and it causes one to be loved by others. It gives peace of mind, easiness in one's affairs, earns people's praise and ultimately means success on the Last Day.
وسوء الخلق شؤم ومحق بركة في الأعمار، وبغض في الخلق وظلمة في القلوب، وشقاء عاجل، وشر آجل.
Bad conduct on the other hand brings curses, removal of blessings, people's hatred, darkness in the grave and misery in this world and the Hereafter.
أيها المسلمون، اقتدوا بالسلف الصالح، الذين اتصفوا بمكارم الأخلاق وشهد لهم بذلك العليم الخلاق، في مثل قوله تعالى: كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ [آل عمران: 110]، فهم خير الناس للناس
Allah says that which translates as: "You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allaah..." (Aal-‘Imraan: 110).
وكل واحد من الصحابة رضي الله عنهم أمةٌ وحدة في مكارم الأخلاق، والبعد عن سفاسف الأمور، يُعلم هذا من تفصيل سيرهم وأحوالهم.
Everyone from among the Sahaabah )the companions of our prophet {pbuh}), may Allaah be pleased with them, was a nation by himself in terms of noble characteristics and the abstention of dwelling upon unimportant matters.
والمثل الأعلى في كل خلق كريم، وفي كل وصف حميد عظيم، سيد البشر سيدنا محمد ، فهو القدوة التامة في كل شيء، قال الله تعالى: لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلآَخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيراً [الأحزاب: 21]،
However, the example par excellence in noble characteristics and all commendable attributes was of course the Messenger of Allaah (pbuh). Allaah confirms this when he says that which translates as: "There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allaah an excellent example for anyone whose hope is in Allaah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allaah often." (Al-Ahzaab: 21).
فعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله : ((إنما بعثت لأتمم صالح الأخلاق)) رواه أحمد[1].
the Prophet (pbuh) said: "I was only sent to bring good conduct to perfection." (Ahmad).
وأثنى الله على نبيه أفضل الثناء، ثناءً يتردد في سمع الوجود، ويتلوه الملأ الأعلى والمؤمنون من الجن والإنس، ولا تُنسيه سرمدية الزمان، قال الله تعالى: وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ [القلم: 4] وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِيداً [الفتح: 28].
عن عائشة رضي الله عنها أنها سئلت عن خلق رسول الله ، فقالت: كان خلقه القرآن[2].
Allaah also praises His Prophet greatly when he says that which translates as: "And indeed you [O Muhammad] are of a great moral character." (Al-Qalam: 4).Once,‘Aa'ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, was asked of the character of the Prophet (pbuh), she replied:"The Qur'aan was his character."
وحتى قبل البعثة لم يجدوا عليه سقطة ولا عيبًا يُذمّ به، مع كثرة أعدائه، وتوافر دواعيهم وحرصهم، ولما فجأه الوحي قال لخديجة رضي الله عنها: ((لقد خشيت على نفسي)) فقالت: (كلا والله، لا يخزيك الله أبدًا، إنك لتصل الرحم، وتصدق الحديث، وتحمل الكل، وتقري الضيف، وتعين على نوائب الحق) رواه البخاري ومسلم من حديث عائشة رضي الله عنها[4].
Even before he (pbuh) was commissioned as a Prophet, no fault or defect was recorded against him. When revelation first came to him, he (pbuh) said to his wife Khadeejah, may Allaah be pleased with her: "I fear for myself." Khadeejah, may Allaah be pleased with her replied: "No! I swear by Allaah that He will never disgrace you for you are kind to your kith and kin; you speak only the truth, you are patient, you take care of your guests and assist others upon the truth." (Bukhaari & Muslim).
فهذا بعض خلقه الكريم قبل البعثة، فأتم الله عليه النعمة والخلق العظيم بعد البعثة.
These are but a few of the exemplary qualities that he possessed even before he was commissioned as a Prophet. After this, Allaah made him a Prophet and completed His favour upon him by increasing him in these qualities and others.
فتأسوا ـ معشر المسلمين ـ بنبيكم ، بالتمسك بدينه القيم، والعمل بشريعته الغراء، والتخلق بأخلاقه الكريمة، بقدر ما يوفقكم الله لذلك، واحملوا أنفسكم على منهجه مخلصين لله تعالى، متبعين لسنته، غير مبتدعين في دينه، قال الله تعالى: قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ [آل عمران: 21].
Therefore emulate him, dear Muslims, by adhering to your religion firmly and implementing his commands, and by imitating his good conduct by as much as Allaah will permit you to. Follow his path and Sunnah with sincerity and without innovating anything in the religion. Allaah says that which translates as: "Say [O Muhammad], 'If you should love Allaah, then follow me, [so] Allaah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allaah is Forgiving and Merciful." (Aal ‘Imraan: 31).
واعلموا ـ عباد الله ـ أن المداراة من الخلق الحسن، والمداهنة من الخلق المذموم، فالمداراة هي دفع الشر بالقول الحسن أو الفعل الحسن، وتبليغ الحق بأسلم وسيلة، وتكون في بعض الأحوال، والمداهنة هي السكوت عن الحق، أو الموافقة في المعصية قال الله تعالى: يأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءامَنُواْ ٱرْكَعُواْ وَٱسْجُدُواْ وَاعْبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمْ وَٱفْعَلُواْ ٱلْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ [الحج: 77].
Fellow Muslims! Be aware that the prevention of evil through a good word or deed and the spreading of the truth with tact and understanding are praiseworthy and commendable acts. Conversely, cowardly acts of flattery and sycophancy, such as the refusal to speak out for the truth, or turning a blind eye to, or even expressly approving sinful acts are acts of grave misconduct. Allaah says that which translates as: "O you who have believed! Bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed."(Al-Hajj: 77).
بارك الله لي ولكم في القرآن العظيم، ونفعني وإياكم بما فيه الآيات والذكر الحكيم، ونفعنا بهدي سيد المرسلين، وبقوله القويم، أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم ولسائر المسلمين من كل ذنب فاستغفروه، إنه هو الغفور الرحيم.

الخطبة الثانية
الحمدُ للهِ ربِّ العالمين، وليّ المتَّقين، أحاطَ بكلِّ شيء عِلمًا، ووسِع كلَّ شيء رحمةً وحلمًا، أحمد ربي وأشكره على نِعَمِه التي لا تُحصَى، وأشهد أن لا إلَهَ إلاَّ الله وحدَه لا شريكَ له له الأسماءُ الحسنى، وأَشهَد أن نبيَّنا وسيِّدَنا محمّدًا عبُده ورسولُه المصطفى، اللّهمّ صلِّ وسلِّم وبارك على عبدك ورسولك محمد وعلى آله وصحبه الأتقياء.
أمّا بعد: فاتقوا الله تعالى كما أمَر، وابتعدوا عما نهى عنه وزَجَر، فقد أمركم الله بقولِه: إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَٱلإْحْسَانِ وَإِيتَآء ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَيَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَاء وَٱلْمُنْكَرِ وَٱلْبَغْى يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ [النحل: 90]، وهذه آيَةٌ جامعةٌ لكلِّ خُلُق كريم، ناهيةٌ عن كلِّ خلُق ذَميمٍ، كما ذَكَروا ونَقَلوا عن ابن مسعودٍ في هذِهِ الآيةِ.
Brothers in faith! Fear Allaah as He should be feared and abstain from all that He has forbidden; He has commanded you with that which translates as: "Indeed, Allaah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded." (An-Nahl: 90) This verse encompasses all noble qualities and prohibits all unsavoury characteristics.
وعَن معاذِ بنِ جبل رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسولُ الله : ((اتَّق الله حيثما كنتَ، وأتبِعِ السيئةَ الحسنةَ تمحُها، وخالقِ الناس بخلق حسن)) رواه الترمذي[1]. وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: سئِل رسول الله عن أكثَرِ ما يدخِل الناسَ الجنةَ، قال: ((تقوى الله وحُسن الخلق))، وسئل عن أكثرِ ما يدخل الناسَ النارَ، فقال: ((الفمُ والفرج)) رواه الترمذي وقال: "حديث حسن صحيح"[2].
Mu'aadh bin Jabal, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Fear Allaah wherever you are, follow up an evil deed with a good one - and it will erase it - and treat people with good conduct." (At-Tirmidhi). Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, said: "The Messenger of Allaah (pbuh) was asked which act gains paradise for the people the most and he replied: "Fear of Allaah and good conduct." He was also asked which of act that makes people enter Hell the most and he answered: "The mouth and the private parts." (At-Tirmidhi).
فتمسَّكوا بأخلاقِ دينِكم، وحافِظوا على هَديِ نبيِّكم ، تَفوزُوا بخيرَيِ الدنيا والآخرة.
Dear Muslims! Hold fast to the qualities enjoined by your religion and keep to the path of your Prophet(pbuh) so that you will prosper in this life and the Hereafter.
